Do you think using a acidic cleaner along these areas might help?

That was my initial thought. She has attempted to clean and scrub it off with no luck using cleaning agents for such. From my experience, if it were mold, this should have taken care of it or at least improved it.

Have you thought to replace your heat by-pass on the front of the machine? If that has been over tightened too many times it may be leaking. Something simple to check before spending alot of money on other things.
