That's a CAT pump right? It should just get pressure right away almost. When mine run dry for whatever reason it hardly takes them a few secs to get back to full pressure, maybe sometimes I open bypass a little but that's just my way. And it should be able to run dry for a while too.

And yes you should get alignment fully loaded as that is how your vehicle will be most of the time. At least that's how mine is but first make sure all your suspension components are good. Some shops won't inspect they'll just align or should I say attempt to align like that.

As for the original post, that's just what Ford Econolines do. Their suspension is different that Chevy Express. Almost all of the ones I've seen or driven eventually develop that problem.

Ford Express? You mean Chevy right? Rear tires won't wear from the inside, if you need shocks the tread pattern will be up and down on wear, but you shouldn't see it in the rear if loaded. It's usually in the front where you can tell

The hot water cleaning only is just a gimmick carpet sales people use to sell the carpet as easy to maintain or cheap to clean....I mean who washes their clothes with water only? Who washes anything with water only for that matter...

Temp should be going higher if lower pressure unless it's dumping water to regulate temp

Does that one have a water box? Have you opened waste tank when it's doing that? Water could be going out the bypass into waste tank or not enough water pressure from inlet or belts slipping or maybe one of the high pressure hoses is breaking down and needs replacing

That's odd. If you have the chemical pick up shut off it should be fine. Even if pump gets air in somehow it tends to work its way out when your working. Maybe the clutch on the pump slip...I'm not sure if that can even happen but worth checking. So once it drops to 400 psi it wont go higher if...

Did you take the spring out of the pressure regulator. Sometimes they come with one you have to take off. Your pump maybe wasn't the issue. Maybe blockage in the lines or pressure manifold where the regulator goes. Maybe dumping water out of the bypass or belt slipping and not turning the pump...

I have 2 405's and yes they have small issues here and there but they're old machines...that's to be expected. I'd say as long as the engine is in good working condition you should be fine. I fixed all my own stuff, there's plenty of info out there.

When you're cleaning you won't be using pre heaters at all. So maybe at the start the temp will be cooler but then it should get to working temp just fine given that exhaust heat exchanger is working properly. Pre heaters don't just "plug up" unless float valve in waste tank is not shutting...

Is that a generic picture? because it says EFI. Anyways there's things you could check on your own. If it doesn't start right away at all maybe it's overheating. Could be your fuel pump or clogged filters. Do you have nissan engine with carburetor?

Pressure regulators come with a spring I believe you're supposed to take off and put plug back on, it's a check valve

Sounds like its bypassing water then, open your tank when it's doing it and see if water is going into waste tank. Maybe seals in pressure regulator, or have you changed it lately?

What about your engine? Is it staying at steady rpms?

How much does it go up and down? Could be different things. Pump not getting enough water. Belt slipping. Clutch disengages. Pressure dampener might be bad. We need more info to help better

I have two 405s and a legend with same heat exchanger but haven't had that issue yet. I'm sure if taken apart the leak can be welded...it's only metal after all. Where in TX are you? I can ask around and see if the shops here can help but might not be cheap.
