    Lifetime Value of a Customer

The lifetime value of a customer will depend in large part on how often your customer buys from, how much they refer your company and your pricing. So, to use a lifetime value for a customer without first knowing the price can influence and becomes circular reasoning. Industry-wide, on average...

    Quarry tile sealer

A true sealer would penetrate the pores of the tile and make it easier to remove stains when cleaning time comes. A product that does anything to change the appearance of quarry tile would be a topical finish that leaves a layer of finish on top of the tile. This can make the floor...

I have no idea what is happening with Kleen Pro. However, I would be extremely reluctant to spend any money with a company that has had a phone disconnected. A definite red flag.

    Rust Remover - Iron Remover

Be very careful with the hydrofluoric acid based rust removers. They do work fast and work well but can damage many things and can cause significant harm if you get even a drop on you or inhale too much. T-Rust is safer but does work slower. It is still my choice. The word "iron" in the...

Can I steam clean this kind of fabric?

That fabric can certainly be cleaned using hot water extraction and a truckmount. The more important questions are do you have the knowledge, skill, experience along with proper tools and chemistry to do so. Your lack of fabric identification concerns me. Perhaps additional training is in order...

    Upholstery rince

In short, the Fab-Set is a low pH but non-buffered product. There are no detergents, no surfactants of any kind. All ingredients 100% evaporate. So absolutely no residue. This can be helpful in correcting problems that respond to an adjustment in pH. It also is great for cleaning high end...

To seal or not to seal

ACP may have a slightly different definition, but sealer contains a lot of water or solvent which will evaporate quickly (flash off). This leaves a very thin layer of polymer, the aqctual sealer component, on the tile. This does not stick to most tile and will wear off or can be buffed offed off...

Large Non-Profit Conference Center - Self Sufficient Carpet Maintenance

An Interlink Supply, Bridgepoint, Jon-Don or other quality distributor near you could provide training. This could range from helping you adjust the settings on your truckmount to a 2 or 3 day IICRC class.

What is your favorite pet urine product?

Realize that there are many grades of d'limonene. These include general grade, tech grade, food grade. Higher grades are more purified and filtered and more even from one batch to another in strength, purity and fragrance. Prices for food grade can go as high as $75 or $80 per gallon.

    Another Chemistry Quiz

I think you got good advice to clean without detergent in the rinse for that situation. You might consider an acid rinse with a kick like Flex Ice. Most presprays include some type of detergent. Just need to select the proper prespry. Then apply with sufficient heat, mechanical agitation and...

How many of you use Acid for grout on most jobs?

I do not suggest acid for all grout. Just for bathrooms with urine deposits, soap scum or where there are hard water deposits. A few rare jobs where stains are really bad. A quality alkaline cleaner is all that is needed for most jobs.

    UV light before and after??

Rob got this one. The residue of urine is what glows, Polyester, triexta and olefin don't absorb much moisture. So there will be some urienb on the surface but a lot of the urien rolls down the fiber to the base of the carpet. Cleaning removes most of what is on the surface. If the pet has been...

To seal or not to seal

You can do the grout lines by hand. I have used this method for smaller jobs. Another option that saves time is to use a moss rubber squeegee to spread the sealer. Try to get most of it in the grout lines. What is on the tile itself can usually be buffed off with-in 5 or 10 minutes. Don't wait...

To seal or not to seal

Cement based grout is very porous. That makes it easy to stain. In wet areas, water can penetrate grout and gradually get through walls. I think grout should be sealed, especially in wet areas or where stains are likely. Sealed grout won't stay clean but will respond better to cleaning. Think...

    Non sticky color seal?

Any good color seal done properly should not get sticky. I have had success with Color Seal Pro from Steve Alleric and also with Grout Perfect. Both can be found on-line.

    Scotch guard furniture

If you know the fabric, you can choose a protector that works best for that fabric. Solvent for those that might shrink or pucker. Advanced with Teflon is excellent for the fibers that are most sensitive to hair and body oils such as olefin. I like the 1/2 gallon size sprayers that can provide...

    Feel Blessed

A feeling of gratitude goes a long way to maintain or improve both mental and physical well-being. I have much to be grateful for. I suspect almost all who post here have a lot to be thankful for. Take a few minutes each day to ponder over what you and grateful for and to thank those from whom...

    Hydro force

It would be simple to use the 1:8 dilution ration instructions printed on the label. No need to make any additional calculations. Probably would get more even coverage as well. If you really want 1:4, the key is to understand that what comes out of the sprayer is 4 parts water plus 1 part of...

    1st truck mount advice

Be careful. In most areas, a propane canister cannot be legally carried in the passenger area of the vehicle. All the interior of a van is considered the passenger area. For safety reasons, it must be carried in the bed of a pick-up, trunk of a car or outside of a van.

    Best Red Remover

RedZone Ready is a reducer. It is for removing synthetic or man-made dye stains. The key is it removes dyes, like food coloring. When there is material, texture present, you need something for that specific material such as wax or fingernail polish. I have to leave now, but more in a few days...
