    I'm switching methods

Holy crap, I’ve been gone for a long time!!! Can’t believe this thread is going on 4 years now lol. How is the VLM truck going Rob? Any updates?

Customer asking if I could fix 6 month old indents from furniture in carpet with steam.

Yes. It's a real easy (and profitable) add on and makes the customer/property manager very happy. It's added an easy $50+ to each PM invoice.

Customer asking if I could fix 6 month old indents from furniture in carpet with steam.

Less than 16 minutes. Once the steamer is warmed up, it takes less than a minute per furniture dent.

Customer asking if I could fix 6 month old indents from furniture in carpet with steam.

No. Never tried a iron steamer since the Wagner works so well. Once this wagner takes a crap, I'm gonna try a different style of steamer. The microwave looking one....

Customer asking if I could fix 6 month old indents from furniture in carpet with steam.

Hey Carlo! How you been man! I charge $1/dent. A dent is considered the size of the smaller attatchment on the Wagner steamer for us. So in your case, I'd charge $16 for those dents....

    Ltd 5 hose run

Invest in a couple of Omni fans to help with dry times. When I was running a portable and then a ETM, I always used fans to help.....just a habit. Even today I use a 570ss and still piggyback 2 fans around a job lol. It's a good habit to have imo. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

    Grease Hog - Vacaway

I'm pretty sure this guy was all 175? Haven't seen him around in a long time? He did good work. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

What Costly Mistakes Have You Made?

This one is easy lol. Buying way too much crap! Not only in business, in life as well. The grass isn't always greener on the other side lol. KISS! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

    Sneakers or Boots???

Lol! I'm Mexican. We prefer snake skin boots with shorts! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

    Sneakers or Boots???

Same here. All of my boots are way more comfortable than my tennis/trail running shoes. They are a bit heavier, but the comfort is amazing. If I could just find a boot that I could wear shorts with, I'd be in. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk

    Sneakers or Boots???

Wolverine or Irish Setter boots (like the pic above^^) here when wearing jeans/cargo pants. If it's a easy day and/or wearing shorts, Van's (any style lol) all day. Love the grip and really hold up believe it or not. Very affordable as well. Just ditch the factory insole and get some good...

Pros, how would you clean this upholstery?

Great job for even trying man. Even better for being completely honest with us and (even more so) yourself. This is how you learn and get the experience needed. I went thru the same thing when I first started. 400 silk and cotton chairs. Went and tested one, then passed on all of them even...

this could be the worst mistake of my life

Good luck man! I came the other way and went from flooring (installs) to carpet cleaning. I still have a very good reputation around here and can pick up installs anytime I need to. Owning a floor store is a good thing and imo, you have the market cornered. They can start with cleaning and if...

    Trinity on Tile

No I haven't. Honestly, no Oxy based prespray has ever let me down, just pick your scent and go lol. I absolutely love the strawberry smell of Peroxcellent and my customers do too. It reminds me of Big League Chew! For commercial settings, I like to use Releasit Hydrox since it gives it more...

    Trinity on Tile

Yes! When I first started out, a very respectable cleaner told me to go down to Costco and get a bucket of Oxy Clean and add a scoop or two to my prespray of choice. That worked awesome until I found a go to Enzyme. For HWE, PC Powerburst is my go to 99.99% of the time. For VLM, Vacaway...

    Trinity on Tile

Nice man! Take pics next time. You're right about using an Oxidizer also. I always use some sort of Oxy in all of my presprays. IMO, it does most of the heavy lifting by the time you get there with the OP or wand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Blue or Gray Microfiber Bonnets - is there a difference?

I use the ones from directmopsales and some are more aggressive than others. These are gray with blue scrub strips. If you haven't had a chance to try out the new Mytee MF's, they're nice. I received a few with my new Mytee ECO and they have quickly became my favorite. Sent from my iPhone...

VLM Prespray Agitation - What's Your Weapon of Choice?

Yes. Nothing beats MF for scrubbing on a OP. Occasionally I'll have to bust out the 175/carpet brush but I feel I can get the same with a OP and MF pads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VLM Prespray Agitation - What's Your Weapon of Choice?

Machine ain't the problem since you have a really nice machine with good head weight. On that carpet I'd probably with a MF with scrub strips, then follow up with a Glad until satisfied. I'd also be using a heavy mix of Peroxcellent and Encap Green since I think Peroxy really helps brightening...

Hos Orbot Spray Jets - for Lower Flow? Help Please

Yes the Orbot is more touchy but it will cut down on the solution. My Mytee uses a ton of solution but I actually like using more solution. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hos Orbot Spray Jets - for Lower Flow? Help Please

Also if you have an in line ball valve, you can close it off a little to limit how much solution comes thru? My Sprayborg had one and I'd cut back on the juice on cleaner jobs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

VLM Prespray Agitation - What's Your Weapon of Choice?

What machine are you running again? For agitation, I'll use either a tan pad or MF with scrub strips, then always follow with a Glad to finish it off. Never had a problem. There have been certain situations where I'd bring along my 175 with carpet brush to really dig in on the bad ones...I...

MYTEE ECO-15 arrived today -new pads and chems too

Exactly. Unlike the CX, Trinity and Orbot...the Mytee head doesn't swing all the way back. This also helps the Mytee because the design has 2 wishbone looking A-arms that won't let it pivot, but this helps with vibrations imo. Hauling it upstairs isn't too bad since the machine is nice and...

MYTEE ECO-15 arrived today -new pads and chems too

Update. I have finally received the new head (lower half), broke in the pad driver and used it a couple of times. I have only used it on maybe 5-6 jobs and I must say that I'm quite impressed. It cleans as good as my Orbot (with weight kit) and Trinity Freedom did and is a little more quiet...
