Making a new truckmount out of junk

Where's the picture of junk you see? I see 1 picture of a blower with the gear end cover removed, I've heard that blowers last many years with minimal performance loss, I have been cleaning with truckmounts for over 20 years and never had a problem with any blower. Some people are mechanically...

Can the 2 barrel carbs listed on Ebay for the Nissan A14 engine be modified to work on the 405. Looks to be the same except for extra barrel and throttle linkage. Much cheaper..

    Knowing your chems on Poly

1st choice cleaning and Smtwn Janitorial I agree with both of you, but from my understanding of what the OP was saying was that all black households was lacking in cleanliness which I know for a fact is not true by far (at least from my experience). In my years of being in this industry I've...

    Knowing your chems on Poly

Good job, I've cleaned those before but strangely they have been in Caucasian homes, very rarely in black homes. I guess it's in different in other areas. I'm black and I vacuum often, so does the majority of blacks I know. Never the less outstanding job.

    How about homemade truckmounts?

Idreadnought Man thats a good idea to eliminate belt slippage. Have you did the research on the cogged belts and pulleys? Will they be able to handle the torque/horsepower? Are the pulleys available in different sizes? If it does work, I'm sure belt allignment will be super critical.

    How about homemade truckmounts?

Tile Professional I was looking at the specs on your machine (65 HP Turbo diesel, 7 GPM @ 4000 psi pressure pump, etc), How do you have your pump plumbed? Can you run two different pressures(2 unloader valves), one for each wand? For example: one wand set at 400psi and the other at 500psi...

    How about homemade truckmounts?

Now that I think about it, Idreadnought said that he got his engine from a nissan 210 which is most likely a 4 cyl. Being a 4 cyl he might have to run at a higher RPM to obtain HP and torgue(spelling?) needed for his setup. Just guessing...

    How about homemade truckmounts?

Idreadnought What made you go with direct coupling opposed to belt drive? Seems that you could have ran that engine at a lower RPM to conserve fuel and spin that 47 to 3600 RPM for better vac with belt drive. Am I thinking wrong about belt drive being better with higher horse power engines...

    How about homemade truckmounts?

I think it would be nice to have a section here on TMF for board readers with the same interest to share knowledge about design, locating parts etc. Like tobeyo, I'm convinced that I can build a better, reliable, cheaper truckmount.

    How about homemade truckmounts?

Tobeyo Are driving your machine direct drive or belt drive? If belt drive what size pulleys are you using on the blower and engine at 1600 RPM.

    How about homemade truckmounts?

Actually I was thinking of modifying the prochem frame to accept the 56 blower. Would have to remove the blower silencer and the blower heat exchangers to accept new silencer. I think it would be alot easier than building a new frame. I will be using the small stanley steamer waste tank and...

    How about homemade truckmounts?

Man am I glad to see that there are other cleaners out there who are thinking outside the box and building their own equipment. Donaldsodav290 and Tile Professional looks like you both have killer machines. As soon as we finish with my friend's machine, I'm going to be building mine from the...

    How about homemade truckmounts?

Larry I agree on the weight issue, but it wouldn't no more than a full fresh water(which he will not have). I have to disagree on the fuel issue, It will be running Between 1700 and 1800 RPM, which is slightly higher than most CDS systems. I'm guessing between 1.5 to 2 Gallons per hour...

    How about homemade truckmounts?

:AddEmoticons04259:I've been searching the board and can't find to much info on homebuilt truckmounts. Are there anyone who have built or thinking of building their own? If so, I would like to share info. Right now I'm helping a friend build a V-6 powered unit and it realy isn't that...
