    VLM powder cleaner

I misunderstood your original question. I thought you were looking for a dry compound cleaner that you sprinkle on the carpet and vacuum out.

Are you prepared for a recession?

I was working for Coit in Las Vegas st the time and we were hit especially hard. Las Vegas had been going through an explosion in home building at the same time that housing prices were at their all time high. A lot of people lost everything. People had paid a half million dollars or more for...

    VLM powder cleaner

I don’t recall the Brush Pro cleaning compound having a scent to it. Can I ask why you want to use a powder instead of an encapsulation liquid chemical?

Good question. I know as long as I’ve been cleaning (since 1994) it’s been the recommended process. I don’t know about required though.

Questions about cleaning pet urine spots

I like showing the customers what the back side and padding look like as well. I don’t pull the carpet up unless the customer wants me to but I do show them this picture I took one time. The customer doesn’t think about what’s down below.

Questions about cleaning pet urine spots

I’ve been using acid for the last few years. It does a great job on urine. Most of the time the acid is all I need. I use FabSet mixed 24 ounces into a hydroforce sprayer.

Are you prepared for a recession?

I started my business towards the end of the last recession we had. I’ve paid cash for everything I have bought for the business and we have no business or personal debt except for about 50k remaining on our mortgage. I’m not real sure what to expect if we go into another major recession...

Engineered flooring nightmare - what would you do?

Something definitely was dripped on the floor that removed the topical coating. You should be able to strip and recoat the floor just fine. I would go use some stripper on one plank with the spots and see how hard it is to remove the coating. Once you remove the topical then it should be easy to...

Engineered flooring nightmare - what would you do?

Stains are not going to show up months later. They did something to the floor and are looking for someone to blame.

    How would you clean this

Casino carpet usually cleans up quite well. You may or may not need to scrub it. I would go in and prespray a heavily soiled area and try just using the wand. You may be surprised just how well it cleans up. After seeing the results you will know if you need to use a scrubber or rotary...

Cat stains! Help! What chems do I use to remove the stains.

Cat is the worst. Often times you can not remove the odor. Go in with your black light and look at the walls and other things, usually you will find cat spray in more places than just the carpet. Cat is a lot harder than dog to deal with.

Is carpet repair worth it financially?

Do it. Three years ago I knew nothing about repairs at all. I learned most of what I know here on TMF.

This is a job where you set up all the vac hose and have a guy using the wand to “pre vac” while another guy is encapping the carpet. They would see you scrubbing the carpet and using the truckmount.

    Curtains Red Dye Bleeding

Possibly. Odd as it may sound go find a professional oriental rug washing business. They have to deal with dye bleeding from time to time and should have the dye strippers needed to fix your problem.
