I found a little 3.3 blower for $20 and I thought about making a 14-16hp unit. The biggest hang-up is finding an aluminum waste tank. I have found some aluminum fuel tanks for boats that I thought might work with some welding and modifications. I was also concerned if they would be thick...
I do have a google business listing with 12 reviews. Maybe you need 20 plus reviews or something to get the quote under your listing. For instance Stanley has the customer review under their listing and my OverlyClean does not.
Biggest breakdown issues with the Butler are usually from the van motor itself. It gets lots of abuse, it basically run all day. The original 5.7 made it 162k Miles not including all the hours spent cleaning before blowing a head gasket.
I like to take a 32 ounce trigger sprayer with 2 ounces of All Fiber Rinse and water to mist or light spray the room after I clean. Then rake the room and apply an air mover. Smells nice, breaks the alkaline surface tension nicely, and is isn’t that time consuming. Plus no need for a chemical...
2002 GMC 5.7 Butler 10,400 hours. 208k Miles.
Motor was replaced at 170k with blown head gasket. Original transmission still going strong. Lots of rust on the van.
Original 5.8 blower and it’s been through 2-3 cat pumps.
I don’t need your help on turning it in to the truckmount I have sitting out in the van. Can’t a guy just be unfamiliar with a piece of equipment and ask some questions about its uses? Now that I know what it will not do it will remain on Craigslist.
I’m not quite sure what I would use it for. Maybe VCT, or using this instead of mopping a ceramic tile for a maintenance contract. Would it pick up stone slurry from polishing? I just saw it while I was checking Craigslist for used equipment and it seemed like a decent deal.
Thanks Todd for taking the time to write that awesome explanation!
I’m pretty excited about the job. It’s a 2000 sq ft job if the first room goes well. He wants it polished. I offered to just strip and wax it but he seemed to want it polished.
This is the second customer in a month that has...
I talked to the owner today and I’m going to try a sample area. I have been wanting to get in to stone polishing and this is my perfect opportunity to try it. Which diamond pad sets would be the best for my 175? I need 17inch and I guess 5 inch pads for a grinder on the edges?
My fathers friend lives 70miles away from my service area. He has this ancient terrazzo floor that he can’t find anyone who knows how to clean this floor. I have been wanting to get in to stone polishing with diamond pads. This job would be a perfect way to get my feet wet. But the job is 70...
