    Problem Rug.

Looks like a tufted wool rug by the shedding characteristic. A tufted wool rug will always shed, especially after a aggressive cleaning.

Where to find a waste tank?

I found a little 3.3 blower for $20 and I thought about making a 14-16hp unit. The biggest hang-up is finding an aluminum waste tank. I have found some aluminum fuel tanks for boats that I thought might work with some welding and modifications. I was also concerned if they would be thick...

How do I get my Google Maps Listing with a customer review?

I do have a google business listing with 12 reviews. Maybe you need 20 plus reviews or something to get the quote under your listing. For instance Stanley has the customer review under their listing and my OverlyClean does not.

    Butler Truckmount

Biggest breakdown issues with the Butler are usually from the van motor itself. It gets lots of abuse, it basically run all day. The original 5.7 made it 162k Miles not including all the hours spent cleaning before blowing a head gasket.

At what point should you buy new trucks?

It’s usually cheaper to maintain the vehicle that you have rather than shell out $500 a month for a new van.

my hangup on using a rinse agent

I like to take a 32 ounce trigger sprayer with 2 ounces of All Fiber Rinse and water to mist or light spray the room after I clean. Then rake the room and apply an air mover. Smells nice, breaks the alkaline surface tension nicely, and is isn’t that time consuming. Plus no need for a chemical...

Who has the most miles and hours on Butler truck mount?

2002 GMC 5.7 Butler 10,400 hours. 208k Miles. Motor was replaced at 170k with blown head gasket. Original transmission still going strong. Lots of rust on the van. Original 5.8 blower and it’s been through 2-3 cat pumps.

Thinking of buying a Tennant 1260 Floor Extractor.

I don’t need your help on turning it in to the truckmount I have sitting out in the van. Can’t a guy just be unfamiliar with a piece of equipment and ask some questions about its uses? Now that I know what it will not do it will remain on Craigslist.

Thinking of buying a Tennant 1260 Floor Extractor.

I’m not quite sure what I would use it for. Maybe VCT, or using this instead of mopping a ceramic tile for a maintenance contract. Would it pick up stone slurry from polishing? I just saw it while I was checking Craigslist for used equipment and it seemed like a decent deal.

Thinking of buying a Tennant 1260 Floor Extractor.

I found a used Tennant 1260 floor machine locally for $150. Looks good in the picture and is supposed to work fine. Are these good units? How does it perform on tile and grout?

    Terrazzo Floor. Nightmare job?

Thanks Todd for taking the time to write that awesome explanation! I’m pretty excited about the job. It’s a 2000 sq ft job if the first room goes well. He wants it polished. I offered to just strip and wax it but he seemed to want it polished. This is the second customer in a month that has...

    Terrazzo Floor. Nightmare job?

I talked to the owner today and I’m going to try a sample area. I have been wanting to get in to stone polishing and this is my perfect opportunity to try it. Which diamond pad sets would be the best for my 175? I need 17inch and I guess 5 inch pads for a grinder on the edges?

    Terrazzo Floor. Nightmare job?

My fathers friend lives 70miles away from my service area. He has this ancient terrazzo floor that he can’t find anyone who knows how to clean this floor. I have been wanting to get in to stone polishing with diamond pads. This job would be a perfect way to get my feet wet. But the job is 70...

    Grout cleaning

Try and acid. You’ve already been all over it with the stripper which is alkaline. Usually when I clean grout I do an alkaline cleaning cycle and then an acid cleaning cycle.

If you could turn your non-electric reel into electric in 5 mins would you?

I wasn’t “reel” impressed with my Butler electric hose reel but I think it may have been on its way out. Reeling my hoses isn’t much of a issue. Not pushing that carpet wand would help with fatigue.
