Unfortunately common problem.
If it’s a genuine overheat replace thermal relief. If its truly intermittent replace temp sensor and work your way out.
You can remove the blue wire in the back of the pump switch if you need to get through the job.
I’m guessing if we took a poll of who’s running HX vs Fuel and making over 100k it would be mostly guys running HX and those of the big 3 and butler nonetheless. And make money and do good work is what we are all looking to do in the end.
You can see if it’s charging by putting an amp meter on the battery terminals while running.
Since that’s not an option you can take it off and look at it and see if it’s burned or damaged in some way.
Also, make sure it’s getting 12v when Keyed.
