@bill. I agree that there is more risk at higher pressures.. As I stated in the previous post, we inspect the integrity of the grout during brushing. Very rarely do we have any issues.
We are almost always at 1600 psi and 235 degrees... sometimes we need to bump it up a bit and sometimes we identify weak or compromised grout integrity while brushing and drop it way down.
We have come across the Aqua Mix Sealant and found that it comes up very easy. If you want to try Color Clad you can match any color on the job. Let me know if you want or need more info. I can get you a color chart to match the color right away.

Are you planning on re applying color seal? When we come across situations like this, clean as I normally would to remove the loose material. Anything that is left is properly adhered and Color Clad will stick to it. Makes the process really quick and painless. No need to fully strip. Looks...

Next time try a child's toothbrush... preferably not your kids... Use a razor blade to narrow the bristles to meet your specifications. you can even use some heat to bend the handle a bit to make work more comfortable...
Robin, I am having a hard time with the photos.. Sorry. Is the floor wet in some spots or is that the issue? Have you identified what it is that you are trying to remove? let us know if you think it is a coating or just hard-water/ soap scum. Did you do a test with an acid? What did you find...
I believe that in order to do a great job quickly, most of the soap, scum, hard water should be removed mechanically... I usually mist some iso alcohol on the surface for some lube... Then run the blade carefully making sure not to scratch anything... I find that by removing the bulk with the 4"...

Looks like you might be using a bit too much product. Try using less in the lines.... You shouldn't have to hardly wipe. Try ColorClad Sealant it seems to lay down very nice for us.
