I can rebuild the pump, but the motor looks damaged. The pump stopped working and just hums, like if it locked up. I thought that I would just buy a brand new pump/ motor and not have to worry about it for a few years.

I bought an LTD5 from Kleen-Rite (they have the best prices on Mytees) and I requested they send me one with the red know since that is what is on Mytees website. I figured that is the newest and latest model.

What is the red shut off valve on the bottom front of the LTD5? Some websites have the LTD5 without the valve. Is this a new feature and what is it for?

I don't know the temp at the wand, but the carpet is hot when I kneel to spot clean. I don't see the steam coming out of the wand like with the 6 flow. I just know that it cleans and flushes out the dirt very well. I can see the dirt through the wand window.
