In my opinion, acid rinse is a affordable, and is a must use. If your only rinsing with water, how are you returning the carpet to its neutral state? It's cheap insurance to prevent crunchy carpet and call backs. Most of us are using a high PH cleaner that needs to be followed by an acid rinse.
