    Wink Hard Water Stains

I clean a Office which has a glass door in the back entrance, which faces the east sun in the evening. The sprinkler goes on early morning and by the time I get there by 6pm the over spray from the sprinklers are baked on the glass, from the sun, what's the best safe product for hard water stains. That will not ruin the glass or the door frame. Thanks.

Greg you can use bathroom soft scrub and a cloth to remove it. If it is real bas you can put a buffing pad on a power drill and do it that way.

    Re: Hard Water Stains

I have used flat Razors to get the worst part down then what Kevin wrote works to get the balance out.

Have had times when I could not get it all out!

This could prove to be a great informative thread!

    Re: Hard Water Stains

be real careful when using CLR etc, they can etch the glass. They also allow the hard water stain to come back faster. You can use glass sealants to increase to life of your now stain free glass.

    Re: Hard Water Stains

For what it is worth, I have had great success removing this and many other types of difficult staining from glass with the use of a Vapor Steamer. It does not use chemicals and it does not etch the glass, it is only super heated vapor steam and it will cut through all types of problems.

    Re: Hard Water Stains

Look for a Product called Bio Clean,
Safe effective and will not pit or etch the glass.

Some of the other products listed will pit or etch the glass, so be careful of what you use. A white pad that will not scratch the surface of the glass is essential as well. Some of the scrubbies will make scratch marks even on tempered glass.
