I may be able to you with this matter. A couple of questions first. Is this an insurance covered incident, if it was, is there a cap limit on the policy. What was the cause of water intrusion that lead to the microbial growth? Have you spoke with the adjuster from the carrier i.e. the insurance company. A mold remediation job should never be billed out by the square footage. I have done over 800 mold remediation jobs after hurricane Katrina. I am no longer in the restoration business, but do work with restoration companies either referring them or assisting them in preparing their bills and negotiating with the adjuster on their behalf. Most restoration companies have no idea what is covered under the home owners policies or what is the going rate for the rental of there equipment. Preparing a bill is about doing the proper documentation and writing a good itemized bill. Using the same estimating software in the same format that they use. I work with many small to medium size restoration companies in preparing their bills. I am a licensed Public Insurance Adjuster which mean I work for the policy holder not the insurance company. I would be glad to talk to you about your situation.

    Hey Ron,
what course or class would be the best for starting in mold remediation, also, what are some of the eqiupment essentials you would recommend for someone starting in this field?
    Thanks for your help!
