For 2 Weeks while on vacation or you will come home to this

was the shower on or did the tub over-flow or both?

Big walk in shower with two heads runnin' full tilt for 2 weeks, owner forgot to shut off before leaving on vacation. If you notice the Temp & Humidity picture it was 67F but the humidity was 81...basically it rained inside that bathroom for two weeks. Its been a busy weekend, 2 big floods and this came in 4 blocks from one of the floods we were working. Here are 2 shots from the two other floods.

Good eye John, yes the first was a laminate and is falling apart, the second is a solid maple however it was a glue down installation and the leak was caused by a manifold leak at the slab so the water was under the wood and caused 3 large sections to detach and lift several inches off the floor. So both jobs have a date with the wood floor terminator. This is about a 5' section of base to give some scale to how high it has lifted, this job leaked for over 2 weeks based on his water bill

I don't think I've ever forgotten to turn off a shower, it just seems like something you should do when you step out.

I dont think they ever got in....turned it on...then left for vacation. OR what the client thinks is "Someone must have come in while we were gone and turned this thing on"

Its been a good weekend 15 X-large dehus, and prob close to 60 fans, 2 scrubbers, couple injecti-drys and over 3,000sq ft of wood over concrete to remove this week. All good insurance companies also; State Farm, Chubb and an Auto-owners comp.

UPDATE:

6 mil ceiling containment was placed prior to demolition as not to contaminate attic space, all materials removed, rotted plywood removed from previous water leak, all surfaces hepa vac, all surfaces wiped with microban twice on different days, hepa vac a second time, filters changed in scrubbers ready for air test Mon or Tue depending on weather
