We use the hardwood floor drying matts along with a E-tes machine. Just be careful not to over dry the floors, it is a art when using heat on the surfaces, check about every 6-8 hour min.. If it is at all possible to get under the floor from a basement or a crawl space the e-tes under the floor is a great tool. But, there are some times when it is impossible to get the floor dry. Pull a HVAC vent and try to get an idea of how many layers of medium you are trying to dry. Some installs are over an existing old floor, some have felt paper, some have a two layer plywood sub-floor. If you are going to have to sand the floor, it will dry better if you take off the poly. on the front end.

I use the Dri-Eaz; Rescue Matts and AirWolf with the WolfPack Floor Drying System.
The Rescue Matts pull air upward as the AirWolf blows air under the flooring.

I have read and heard great things about the Injectidry system.... would love to buy one... i fear it will set most of the year though..... wish bridgpoint rented them in lou.... they do sometimes but most of the time they do not have one in stock....

True.... Mine does not get used very often but if your gonna do things the "right" way they are a must have. Not to mention they (injetidri systems) are not only for floor drying. You can use them for walls and cabinets too. The matts themselves are only around $500.00 for a set. You can charge as much as 100.00 a day for 90 LF of injectidry on a wall.

are you thinking about getting the injectidry system Jason??

We love our Injecti-Dri and use it a lot. It's invaluable for cabinet bases, walls, floors, even ceilings at times. Here's a shot of it drying a plaster over lathe wall in a historic old antique store. Ceilng took water from an ice dam and we had to remove the sheetrock that had been put over the plaster ceiling in places. We "carefully" pulled the old wainscoting off the wall to dry the plaster. No insulation in this wall as the building is only in use summers.

The extraction panels can also be connected to your truckmount. This works great for the first 30 minutes or an hour of the job. Removes a lot of water. Then use extraction panels and TES or E-TES to complete the drying job.

I lived and still live in the land of engineered glue down so this is my favorite method

All good posts here. I used all of the above when I had my business. Quick story - I dried the GA Dome just before Monday night football a few years ago. A large room where the players' wives get together during the games. It flooded Thursday night and I was called in Friday morning. Water wicked up walls 6 inches already. They wanted it dry by 6p.m. Sunday. I gave no guarantee but asked if they could get it hot in there. I used injectidry into the walls. Had to get it dry in two days and didn't own a heater at the time. I was told by mgt that they would heat the room to at least 90. On Saturday, not only was it 70 degrees, but 4 of 5 dehus were turned off!!! Yes it was a big room - cubic feet called for 5 LGR's. The manager was furious. We discussed options. The electrical people ended up hard wiring one of those heaters they used back in the 70's to keep the players warm on the sidelines. On Sunday it was 120 degrees in there and bone dry, all walls and flooring, except for under the 40 gal buckets used to catch water from dehus (no wheels). They were moved and the direct glue carpet was bone dry in 20 minutes. The best part is that when my wife was rolling a dehu from the truck to the work area, she almost knocked down presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
I once dried a laminate floor with injectidry. Well, my son did. We got to it immediately. Water hadn't seeped into seems yet. Adjuster loved it! I have those pics too, somewhere.

I like the tenting method. I just did a 1880 house here where I live that the bathroom toilet from tank let loose. Freshwater loss two floors all hardwood. I tented everthing and ran super dry heated air under visquine and all floors dried to 9% moisture within three days. All cupping disappated and insurance was super happy since I saved them $10,000 in flooring.

yes sir! I had to tent both the floor and ceiling after taking drywall down and insulation downbut dried upper floor and lower floor just by tenting floors and bringing in a closed loop system. Worked exceptionally well. Everyone was happy

They will call you again doing work like that, market it to the max
