    CCS vs Orbot

Can anybody who is familiar with both comment on the advantages/disadvantages of the Orbot vs John G's OP equipment?

    Thanks for replying.

When you say aggressive, do you mean it distorts or blooms some fibers?

    "Smooth" in what way?

Johns machines have a bigger orbit so they have more 'movement' in one area than other machines. That is why they clean so much faster/better.

I have never used one so I speak only from arm chair theory but I have used a machine built my Hruby. The HOS. This is the same basic machine he builds now (Orbot) only the HOS wont fold into a balloon doggie and fit into your wallet.

I tip bloomed the snot out of a lot of carpet. and Johns machines work harder? Wow.

The Orbot is smooth because it sets on the floor with the rear wheels. That helps take some of the weight off the pad. John has machines that do this too. The Orbot, being a smaller Orbit has less 'travel' so it is going to be much smoother.

I have not used an Orbot, but have used a CCS comercial breeze for a few days. It is a cleaning BEAST. My Challenger OP feels like a childs play thing compared to it. I think the Orbot has the same size orbit as the challenger?

No, the challenger is a little smaller that the Hos machines.

I say that more about cleaning time than orbit.

The hos is smooth as ice unless there is no glider and thick carpet.

I think the Hruby's made an awesome machine with the Orbot. But now that I have real HWE abilities, I see no need for such a machine.

I want a small rotary and a handful of bonnets.

    Re: CCS vs Orbot

Don't confuse "working harder"with tip blooming, the larger orbit is EASIER on carpet fibers because it pulls the carpet fibers farther before turning back on themselves.

I have 2 defenders, they work great on residential and light commercial. Have never used others so can't say. I would go with wheels on the ground. Call Clark at orbitec to see if you can get a deal.

bigger orbit cleans faster. I'm doing well with the faster machine. Looking for a 17" or 20" to speed things up even more.

    Re: CCS vs Orbot

I have the 17" Orbit and I'm not sure I know what your
talking about because I think I go at at good speed and
faster than a wand. Oh yes it is smooth. I would love to
try the breeze. I here they are pretty good also.

I have been looking at the easyglide but have not heard anything about it, how good it is for residential, etc.
