    Encap machine choices

Seems like most agree that the Cimex is best for encapsulation cleaning. What are some other good and less expensive choices for encap cleaning?

In your opinion, what encap solution works best?

I have tried 12 encap solutions and Encap-Clean DS is the best.
Cimex is the best for commercial carpet.
    Orbot comes in 2nd place.

Cimex is great and has fast production times in large areas, but it can be difficult to manuever in tight places.

Other machines to use with encapsulation cleaning included
    • 175 RPM rotary (swing) machine
    • Counter-rotating brush machine such as the Brush Pro 20
    • Orbital pad machine

You can get a 175 RPM buffer from pawn shop or Ebay or from the back of some janitoial closet where it has sat unused for years. Cost may be a couple hundred dollars. You can get a nice new 175 Versa Pro that will work on stone, wood and carpet for under $1,000.

Counter -rotating brush machines are over $2,000 but less than a Cimex.

What solution works best? Well there are several good ones out there, but be sure and try the new Encapuclean Green Double Strength. Twice as concentrated so you only need 1/2 as much as a big improvement in cleaning when compared to earlier versions of our Encapuclean.

Okay, i'm going to ask a simple question that may ruffle some feathers. How does encap cleaning really clean the carpet? You aren't really removing much of anything and the bacterial load in the carpet will be about the same so how can you say that you are cleaning it? I can understand people saying they are cleaning it when they are "steam" HWE cleaning but not encap.

encap solution takes the soil off the fibre, when that dries you MUST vacuum that carpet really well.

one thing that a lot of people down play or ignore in encap cleaning is the importance of the dry vac before and after.

ps. The 175 roto will only perform about 75% as good as the Cimex. Nobody can touch the counter rotating and head weight of the Mex as long as your mex has the correct pads on it.

    Kenny,
I feel an OP machine would be a good choice. I is more versital than the other machines, you can use cotton pads and remove a high leval of soil then let the encap handle what's left. The other machines rely only on the chemical to do the cleaning.
