    Encap cleaning and applying protection

    can dupont teflon be applied after encap cleaning? seen a cleaner on youtube demoing his encaP and dry foam method..he was displaying the chems he used for his process..one was teflon, the others were Bridgpoints protien stain remover and pros choice Red 1. can any of these products be used with shampooing or bonnet cleaning..i thought they had to be rinsed. heres the link for the curious ones.

    Yes, you can apply Dupont protector after an encap clean. Or, you can use Brush and Bonnet by Pro's Choice, which already has the protector mixed in.

    The video certainly could benefit from better lighting and editing.

    Spotters can be "rinsed" with a damp bonnet pad. May also be rinsed with a damp towel when doing spotting.

    Protectors can be used following encap cleaning. There are two reasons it is not commonly done.
    1) There are products such as Eyeball mentioned, that include some proetector with the encap product. Our Encapuclean with Maxim would be another example. It should be stated that none of these products provides the same amount of protector as a full application sprayed on after cleaning.
    2) Most encap is done on commercial jobs, not residnetial. Most protector is applied to residential carpets rather than commercial.


    NOt all his processes are suggested ways to clean, but that all can be done without undue fear of damaging the carpet.
