I have never used .. But would like some info as well ??

I take it no one here knows the difference btw. the two machines and why you would use one instead of the other?

Hi
over here it seems that the people who have used them say
that the rx20 is the better machine, more robust will stand up to larger
commercial work and can be a bit big for domestic.
The rv360 is not as strong and more suited for domestic work not really up to large commercial.

Daryl

I use the rv360 on both commercial & residential. Would not trade it. Saves time for me over a wand & does a much better job. Funny thing is I bought it in early 07. Tried it one time & did not like it. So I let it sit for a year before I took it out again. I guess I jus got use to it & it has been my sidekick ever since. Customers luv it & what a time saver.

I have both machines.
I use the 360 for trashed residential, probably 5 times a week.
I use the RX-20 for trashed commercial probably 2 times a week.
I really like both machines and will continue to have them on my vans but sometimes you just can't beat the efficiency of a glided wand and a skilled operator... ok well sorta skilled

I can speak only on the RX20, We at one time used this machine or the Original Roto Vac on every residentual job. I had 3 of each. We wanded the edges and RXed or Roto Vaced the rest because the agitation could not bre beat. In the past 5 years I have gone back to better cleaning chemistry, the glided wand and a rotary brush machine if I need extra aggitation. Some still swear by them especialy since they also have been fitted with glides for faster drying times.
A few of my buds have the rv360 and like it alot
Yesterday at our swap meet there was 2 RX20's, 1 roto vac and a rv360 there for sale.

i have not used the rx but the weght alone scares me 50? pounds i have the 360 and use it on the worst apartment carpets it only weighs about 20 however i have found that unless you have some experience overwetting can happen
rarely use it in resid. it takes longer bcus you have to get the edges and corners with a wand anyway.

The 360 weighs 39 lbs. The design of the machine is meant to reduce dry time. The only way I can think of "overwetting" the carpet is if you don't plug your vacuum hose onto the machine.
I use the RV 360. The over wetting heis talkng about i beliwvw is based on the fact that they send them out with 1.5 jets. If used with a truck mount and 500 PSi that is too much. Dropped down to the 1.0 jets and it dry's much faster, I will not use the Rv on commercial. But i use it on all Residential work. It provides awesome results and happy customers.

I have the rv360 with greenglides on it.It runs smooth, and it really works well on both commerical and residential for me.

I started off and still have my rotary brush with bucket . It has never failed me going on 20 years. I have an rx20 and it is also very good but does take more work. I have since gone with a rotary with bucket and two sprayers in front . This with a glided wand can not be beat. Easier and much faster.

Explain the advantages of the glides to me. I just purchased a Rotovac 360 and was looking at glides today and was told by Interlink that buying glides for the 360 was pointless because they have factory teflon "glides" already on them. Also Nick what jet and psi do you run? Thanks in advance for any info.

I have the rv360 and love it. Carpet does dry faster. Mine came with stainless sloted glides.

Great thread man! Have been wondering the same thing for a while!
BBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM MMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (yup...I'm that guy)
I have the RV360 and love it, Mine has the stainless slotted glides as well.
I am very interested to hear about the green glides for this machine I didn't know they were made. I would definitely be interested in buying them.

I tried a 360 at my supplier's place...I hated it! I typically use a 175 to scrub but then have to extract with a wand...I really would like to hear from anyone who had a regular Rotovac and then went to the 360. Isn't it easier "wanding" forward and back with the old style than swinging the 360 side to side? The carpet I was on was just glued down (no pad) and it dragged big time.

I have the rx20 and love it. I tried the roto360 at a cad and was not impressed. It bounced all over the place on commercial glue down, no matter who was trying it out. I'm sure it would be fine for aprtments and houses but I don't see me going out to buy one just for that.

Hey Allen
What I have found out and it would be with rx or 360 is you have to give it time. Every thing at first you tend not to like. I use the rx every where
and would not clean with out it. I remember the first TM I got I hated the first day or so but again would not clean with out it now. I would like to try a 360 for smaller areas.
