    Weird Cimex issue

Hello, I've had my Cimex for about 8 months now. I noticed recently that when I operate it, it seems to splash in a straight line parallel with the machine about 3 or 4 inches away. It only does it on one side of the machine, depending on which direction the pads are spinning. It's annoying because I have to make an extra pass with it and it makes a mess on baseboards. It does not seem to foam up like it supposed to because of it I think. I'm using plain 'ol beige carpet pads and have used the same encap since day one.. Encapuclean DS (OK I cheated with Scotts Tuff once)
Any idea what's going on? I suspect maybe a partial clog?

    Patrick,
There is very little maintenance on the Cimex but it sounds to me like it’s clogged up. Take a screwdriver and pop the 3 white plugs off on the side of the blue base of the machine. (Be sure to only take off one at a time) Then blast them out with a fine stream of water. (A garden hose with a fine tip works well.) I also take a small screwdriver and gently dig out and crud that’s collected at the ends. I actually had one of the white plugs fall off once which may be the case. If your pads aren’t on straight it was also distribute solution unevenly.

    Jeff, you nailed it!
One of the caps is missing! I still went ahead and flushed it out anyways. Now, what can I jam in there to get me through my job tomorrow morning???? I assume this is not a part I can just find at home depot...

    Re: Weird Cimex issue

Funny thing is I ended up using the end part of an ink pen. It fit perfectly as it was kind of rounded on the end. I then proceeded to do the job and the other two caps fell off within the first few minutes. Upon closer inspection, it appears some kind of glue is used to hold them in there - kind of like rubber cement. I found the caps and held them in with good ol' duct tape over the caps. They never popped out or leaked since, but it does look a bit ugly.
