Yes, you should definitely charge more than that.

Since you're using host, you need to think about your target market. High end customers who are actually concerned about how their carpet is cleaned. This is a premium service you're offering, it's an alternative to the norm. That means you can charge a premium for this service. (not only that, it's my understanding that host is a little pricey to use as well)

I would say you need to do some 'market research' to determine what others in your area are charging. Then you should probably be starting out at the high end, and eventually pushing your prices even higher.

A lot of people will disagree with starting out on the high end, but I honestly think higher prices automatically set you apart from the competition.

I don't know much about your market, but I would think .35 per square foot would not be out of line.

Re: pricing help with Host carpet cleaning

I would start off at $ .35 psf and $ .50 psf with protector. Host products are expensive so you need to cover your costs.
If you prefer room pricing, I would price at $ 50.00 per room up to 250 sqft. And $75.00 per room with protector.

It's always best to start high as it is easier to come down (on a big job) than go up!
