    "Soileze" Carpet and upholstery protector

Lately I have been using Realsit Hydrox encap cleaner from Excellent supply on many of my carpet jobs and have been quite happy with it. As far as protector goes I had been using Maxim Advanced after cleaning and did not have any issue with it however I was not overly impressed with how well that it worked but it did still seem to provide some benifit. In light of that I wanted to try the Soileze protector because it is supposed to be more compatable with the Hydrox encap cleaner. I used it on a job yesterday though and went through more than a gallon for three rooms at around $25.00 a gal vs. roughly $35.00 a gal for Maxim advanced but it is concrentrated and makes 3 gallons of ready to use solution while soileze is already RTU so it is nearly 3x's as much.

I guess I'm just wondering if it's worth that much extra for the Soileze over the Maxim. Pretty soon I plan to clean my carpet again and I will likely do a side by side test but until then I would like to hear any feedback on this or about other protectors that work well with Realsit products.

The biggest advantage is that it is the exact same protector that is built into the Releasit products! This gives you the advantage of being able to apply it if the carpets are still damp with the cleaning solutions. If you choose to use other protectors, you would just want to let the cleaning solutions dry before applying the protector!

As drew stated it mixes with the other products and also is straight so is stronger, we cover a larger area with soileze so it comes out to be same.

Re: "Soileze" Carpet and upholstery protector

Thanks guys, I am usually pretty generous with the protector I may need to try and stretch it out a little more I probably used a lot more than I needed to. I do feel better about using the same brand protector that is in the Realsit products.

Re: "Soileze" Carpet and upholstery protector

We have recently started doing some testing of protectors and encap products. I want og give at least three months actually using the carpet to see how long the protector is effective, how resoiling compares and so forth. Stayed tuned until late summer for updates on this topic.
