    Re: mytee spinner for carpet?

I would not use anything like a spinner on carpet. They put out very large amounts of water, and you would not be able to recover it with that too.

Plus, carpet can start to be damaged above 500-600 psi.

Do you have a 175 machine or any sort? What are you currently using for agitation?

    Re: mytee spinner for carpet?

Why would you want to use a spinner to clean carpet?

    Re: mytee spinner for carpet?

I do not use anything yet. I just thought it was lighter than the typical 175 machine and wouldnt damage the carpet. But I see I'm wrong.
    Thanks

    Hey Brad,

Don't ever hesitate to ask questions. Better to find out on the board here, then in your custy's house.

    Re: mytee spinner for carpet?

I think Mytee Spinner is not advisable for carpet cleaning because it can damage your carpet.. And it's good that you ask at least now you know that it is not good.. ^_^

    Get a Rotovac as it is very versatile. See the link below;

Look for a 13 inch rotery machine. I use one with a bonnet and it works fine. It is very light and does not take up much room in your van.

I am getting a 360i. But how far can a bonnet go? Are the 360i bonnet sizes "proprietary" or standard where one can use any bonnet, so I can buy top of the line bonnets.

I'm pretty sure they discontinued that piece of equipment. Theny where getting motors that were made in China and having tons of issues with them.

They were about the price of a Rotovac when they were selling them though.

A bonnet will vary to how soiled that carpet you're cleaning is. However, because the bonnet head is more of a pad driver, you can use any bonnet that you want, so you could get the top of the line bonnets that you want.

I use 20" bonnets myself and get about 1000 sq ft per pad on CGD. With a 13" bonnet you surface area is obviously quite a bit smaller.

Most of the time you see them advertised by distributors or on ebay as refurbished. The knock off Mytee got from China wasn't very good.
They found that out too late.

If you need something for agitation and funds don't allow you to buy an expensive machine, invest in a Koblenz, I have heard they do the job for carpet agitation or you can look for a used 175 machine.
