Who's website do you like better?

Who do you think has a better website between Jon-Don and Interlink?

I have found Jon-Don's search function about worthless for parts (try searching for "preheater"). It's to the point now that I go to Interlink's website and then copy and paste the part number to the Jon-Don site. Also, Jon-Don doesn't seem to have all the stuff that they carry online. For instance, I was searching for preheaters for my Bruin II and I found one but not the other. I know that Jon-Don carries both of them, but its nowhere to be found on the website.

Interlink has a great resource guide section that comes in handy when you have a unique spot that presents itself. As far as I know Jon-Don doesn't have anything like that. (though they are very helpful over the phone on stuff like that).

As far as chemicals etc. both sites seem to work very well, although I do like Jon-Dons layout better since it seems to give more information when browsing.

I like JonDons and their online ordering system works well so that's who I voted for.

However I do like how Interlink posts prices of tm's on their website for when I get all excited about buying another, which is a monthly occurrence.

Don't rule out Rotovac in the "other" category. Their website has come a long way in the last few years. Still no online ordering capability yet though.

Re: Who's website do you like better?

Might I timidly suggest a new "other" site to check out?

    http://sfs.jondon.com/

The SFS site is a bit different in that there is nothing to "buy" on it. We don't even have a "check out" function or a way to take money on the site. So we can't take your money even if we wanted to!

However, the SFS site is chock full of articles, columns and stories all written by and for cleaning professionals. My personal favorite (of course) is "Steve's Bleeding Hearts Club" which is my "Dear Abby" type of column for struggling carpet cleaners. Check it out here:

    http://sfs.jondon.com/section/bhc

After all, they say misery loves company! (Rumor has it that Scotty Warrington has been spotted lurking on our site!)

    SFS.JonDon.com

PS We also have over 20 different Special Reports and Practical Paperwork forms all (ou guessed right) free for the downloading! (This section includes our new Report on "How to Dominate Google pages for Carpet Cleaners".)

I questioned someone @ Jon Don regarding this issue. Misc parts I used to be able to find are no longer there on the website. I was told that just too many people were ordering the wrong parts and sending them back. They prefere that you call in so the correct part needed can be verified by Nick's superhuman customer service machine.

I reccomend to JonDon to have all parts and items available listed on the website. Hey, if I order the wrong part, MY fault. Provide illustrated parts diagrams of equipment so a savvy customer has the tools to ID the exact part # needed (at 11:00 at night when I get home from work).

Re: Who's website do you like better?

Don't know about websites themselves but, I've used interlink several times and no problems. Jon-Don on the other hand, I used them twice for two seperate purchases and both left a very sour taste in my mouth when it comes to customer service. The first time I was put on the back burner for a week w/o hearing a confirmation or updates on my order, when I called in to ask questions, I was lied too, then when that got fixed, I STILL didn't get any information or updates on my order until I called them. My order had to be shipped out again thanks to UPS, but you would think that my rep would have called me and said "Hey, just wanted to give you an update, we got everything straightened out and your order is on it's way".....NOPE.

I doubt I'll order anything again from JD :(
