Would 5% chlorine be a better oxidizer than 5% hydrogen peroxide???

    It's not the same at all. It's okay for hard floors. And it can be used to kill odors in sub floors, etc. But get it near carpet and you'll be buying the customer their choice of colors before you know what happened... :eek:

    It depends on what you want to oxidize and what surfaces. The 5% chlorine is basically straight laundry bleach (5 1/2% Sodium Hypochlorite).

    That chlorine can remove color, be corrosive to metal, is toxic, etc. So be carefull where you use it.

    Most chlorine sanitizing or disinfecting solutions are diluted to 1% or less.

    When the purpose is to remove color, 5% chorine will surely do it and also could take the wanted color out of many surfaces.
