I descaled my machine using Ara's directions to the T. After I finished I flushed the system out with fresh water for a few minutes then shut down. I then reinstalled my orifice and cleaned the screen next it.

THEN I was going to test out my machine so I plugged my hoses, wand in etc.. Started my machine but about 2 minutes in my machine DIED and could never be restarted again..

I can't believe my luck! It's one problem after another!
Could this be a heat exchanger related problem? Because my machine would always shut down when I engaged my heat exchanger without first warming up the machine.

You better go see you distributor... you did something wrong while descalling the unit... don't touch it untill a professional looks at it..

I agree with taking the machine in to get it looked at, the more you mess with something that you dont know the greater chance you can screw it up. Sounds like you are way over your head.

    10 Reasons a Performer won't start;

    1) Low oil level

    2) Grounded float switch

    3) Low radiator fluid in engine

    4) Low water pressure

    5) Low gas level in van tank

    6) Full waste tank

    7) Engine temp to high (+240º)

    8) Fuel pump dead

    9) Defective 285º high temperature water shut down switch

    10) Nut holding the key

Ok let's start one by one.. Oil level is good.. Checked. Coolant level is completely filled to the top.

But about this grounded float switch, how do I check that? I'm am experienced with using volt, ohm meters.. But I did vacuum inside my water box to get the sediment out.

Gas level is low but the suction hoses is still submerged 3" below the level so it's safe to say it has gas.

Make sure your float switch is not stuck up in the full position. (if it is straight up,flip it down towards bottom of the tank)

And I am presuming the over ride switch does nothing?

The switch is floating the water box, water is almost full to the top. Override switch does nothing as that's what I've always used to start it.

Waste tank is nearly empty.. Couldn't have reached 240 degrees either because the machine is cold and still won't start.

If it had low water pressure wouldn't it start for a bit then die? How do I test the pressure anyhow?
