I love wool and now Prince Charles is promoting all the superior qualities of this truly super fiber!
I truly believe the natural fibers including wool are the best thing for the future of our planet.. think about this for a moment in regards to hand knotted wool rugs.
-Wool is GROWN on a renewable resource,,sheep!
-The sheering, yarning, dying, knotting are all physical labours NOT done by machines that suck natural resources and polute with emmisions.
-after years, decades and sometimes over a century of enjoyment the rug is finally worn out, and now all a person has to do is cut it up, dig it into the garden and now it will become dirt again...COOl, certainly an enviromently friendly fiber that is good for our planet, not something you can say about synthetics.

My question; How can we as a industry of "rug Lovers" encourage more of our clients to buy Wool "hand Knotted" rugs?

IMO as long as companies offer a less expensive product (synthetic), it will be an uphill battle. As cleaners, i think we can try to educate the consumer on the benefits of a wool rug and maybe work in conjunction with wool retailers on some sort of referral basis.
