Got a phone call monday from a potential client wanting a bid, after talking to her she works at a very well know timeshare place and they have 80 upscale condos that needs to be cleaned on a regular basis, the rec room once a month and her offices twice a month. Going to meet with her tomorrow to see if I can get this sealed.... Wish me luck....
Hope your meeting went well today! Landing something like that could really help secure a steady stream of income that you can count on! Let us know how it turns out.
Meeting with them tomorrow morning, they have already sent me there credit references and had me send them a W-9 so it sounds like I might already have it or I should say I just need to sign the deal.....
Please find out why they are replacing their previous cleaning company. Price is not always the reason. I am not bashfuul in asking what they were previously were paying to make sure we are both aware a profit has to be made to stay in buisness. Highlight their problems, correct them and you could have a terriffic cheerleader in that type of cleaning enviroment. I would love to have accounts like those.
the current cleaner is just not working for them, he shows up late, sometimes 2 days late, Carpets are wet for a very long time, and some have even started to smell. The sad thing is that the company has had the contract for YEARS and the owner just sold it so the new owners are messing things up. I have had several of my new customers tell me the same thing. I met with the potential client this morning and walked thru the property and got them a final bid for everything and if they accept it it will add about $25,000 yearly to my bottom line. I am glad I am not the one losing that account.
Update on Bid Well I got the job, my prices were a little bit higher on the condos, but about were the other cleaner was on the offices, but because he dropped the ball too many times and they could not plan on him being there, they went with me. so it should add about $25,000 to my business....... and boy is my wife happy.... LOL
That is awesome. A man could make a living on a couple good accounts like that. Keep a few good commercial accounts happy and you never know how easily they refer one or two more and more and more... Pretty soon, ba-da-bing!
Sounds like a great opportunity, provided they pay reasonably on time! Dont worry about the last cleaner's issue. Just worry about A.R.! Show up on time, wear a uniform and sound like you know what youre talking about and its a shoe-in!
Good luck do one on a DEMO, show them what you have low dring times, clean carpets, you'll get the acct. easy. Vinnie
I never had a chance to do a demo, they called me monday morning wanting to know when I could start. And I should say that they got my name by doing a web search on google, just a free insertion that I took advantage of and payed off. I just got back from my first day up there and they had me clean 18 rooms today...:wheelchair: boy am I feeling it now, I have on more resi to do that a resteraunt tonight.........
