Why isn't Bane Clene equipment ever mentioned?

    Hey . . . I'm new. I'm seeking sound advice. I'm bombarded with info and don't know how to sort thru it. :confused:I'm shopping a used TM and found what I think is a sweet deal. Then reality hits and I'm reminded that impulsive decisions always come back to haunt me. If this equipment and van don't suit my needs, then cost isn't even a factor and I should walk. If it will do the job for a couple years until I can upgrade, then it is a smart business decision. I'm walking the fence...somebody push me off in any direction please. This is what I've found;
    Bane Clene Maxi mount with hoses, wands and minimal extras. Van is a '99 Ford E250, 65K miles, excellent condition. Asking $9000. and he told me yesterday, I could have it for $6000. Hours on equipt? I forgot to ask. Model year?? Can you help me here? Oh yah...for starters, I will be subcontracting for a large cleaning company in Palm Springs. Residential 80% Commercial 20%. Very few high rises in the desert, so concern with distance is minimal. What business they don't provide, I will market and expect primarily household jobs. There you have it. Any advice is appreciated...even if you tell me to go jump in a lake. I'll do it. :eek:Thanks.

    When you buy direct from Bane Clene you get their training and marketing support. I don't know if that holds true when bying used equipment.

    In my opinion, and I think much of the industry agrees, Bane Clean has an excellent marketing and support system but their equipment has limited cleaning power. I would not think the Bane Clean equipment without their marketing support would be worth much. What would you pay for the van?

    As somebody who has used several Bane Clene units for years, DO NOT GET ONE. Unless you want to spend a lot of money and have it pimped with a new Blower/pump/wand, everything but the tanks and reels.

    They are slow in cleaning speed, yet simple to operate. Don't even think of trying to get a multi-level/high-low berber clean and dry, it just won't happen. By the time its really cleaned, its soaked, Oh the memories.

    Try ************ for good used buys, there are a lot of TMs on the market right now.

    I think the whole point of a Bane Clean is the fact you dont need gas to run it. Nowadays thats something to consider, however, they sure dont seem very popular in the pro carpet cleaning community and probably because of the inferior performance compared to gas powered units. I imagine using a bane to be similar to using my Ninja Portable. And if so, i may as well go back to using the portable because from what I'm hearing its cheaper and probably does a better job.

    Bane Clene has a very small market share but those that use Banes are a dedicated bunch.

    I wouldn't consider a Bane unit but have a friend that loves his. What that means is they are not for everybody but if they're for you then do it, the price sounds good to me.

    Robert I have owned several gasoline truckmounts. Most of them I liked very much . Some of them were crap! I have also owned a Bane System.
    The newer Bane-Clene Truckmounts are far superiour to the older belt driven machines before 2005. They are made of stainless steel and aluminum alloys . The motor they use now is likely the most effecient electric motor built. The new machines direct couple the 1 1/2 HP motor 1725 rpm to the Sutorbuilt 3MP vac pump. Solution pump is direct coupled also to a smaller motor. The bigger units carry 120 gallons of hot water . If you want a boost in heat then you have an elctric heat exchanger. This equipment is designed to run on two 15 amp circuits when using electric heat xchanger. Without it can be run on one 20 amp circuit. Yea yeah I know they don't have 600 psi and 300 cfm.
    However when someone buys a piece equipment from them they will not only teach you how to clean carpet ,upholstery and even water damage restoration. They will also teach you how to operate a buisiness. Their 800 is always available and they don't mind how often and how much time you need from them. If you need more vacuum then an inline power booster will solve that.
