Today while cleaning I noticed mu vaccume comming and going power wise.I finished up and when I got to look at the guage it had dropped from 12 to around 4 or 5.I also noticed when I cut the power to the machine,it seemed to turn more freely while shutting down, kinda like the was less pressure against the machine.By my explanation you probley guessed Im new to the scene and dont know alot about the mechanics of the system. If you could help guide me to even comming up with whats wrong,I'll get it fixed somhow.....Thanks alot.....:hi: 1994 Chevy 30 van 1994 Pro 1200
check: belt slipping gasket in the filter box gasket in the top of the recovery tank drain valve is closed properly vacuum filter blower oils and grease.
Also you have pods under the hood to adjust the throttle sometimes they need to be adjusted but it sounds like a belt issue . Does the rpm gauge drop down to or just the vac gauge?
After messing with it this evening I came up with the best way to describe the problem. The machine is going up and done in rpm's,nothing major but noticable and the only other difference is the vaccume is weak.Ill check for leaks and look at the recover tank filter in the morning,if I happen to fix it or find something else worth mentioning,I'll come back and post the verdict. One question worth asking I guess,I had mentioned the machine seems to spin more freely when I shut the power off, does this describe what a leak might cause?I ask because for the life of me I cant think of why else that would happen....Guys thanks so much for your time and efforts to help!!!!
