    Any ideas where i can find old rugs? Id like to do some different types of cleaning on different types of rugs but would prefer not to have to buy new.

    Ive found several high quality persian/oriental rugs in flee markets, estate sales, garage sales, normaly u can get a pretty good price on them cause most people dont know the difference in a olifin machine made area rug and a hand knoted wool or silk textile investment.

    I have garbage picked a few sweet ones. Practice on it then pitch it. After a flood is a good time to be looking.

    Newer rugs are often much cheaper than buying older ones... they are commodities now. Just look for some good rugs sales. And you can find cheap rugs on eBay.

    Check goodwill and other thrift stores. Maybe garage sales or those giant garage sales that usually get put on at the fair grounds.
