Hi, I have a 1991 Butler in a 1991 Chevy 3500 van. The machine runs good, although old, unfortunately, the van blew a head gasket and is not operational. The question being do I dump the van and try to find another 1991 van to put the machine into, or rebuild the engine, or just sell the machine an salvage the parts?

Butler says its almost impossible to put the machine into another van, although somehow I don't believe them since there is one pto shaft that runs off a belt and a vacuum regulator attached to the throttle.

If everything else is OK, Replace the head gasket.

What Kevin said. Just a head gasket? Take an afternoon and replace it.
