Some carpet cleaning pre-sprays can dry up within 15-30mins, what happens to it when it dries up?

And what should you do if it does dry?

I do a double trigger movement i.e trigger on doing up stroke and on doing down clean stroke.
I figure trigger on going up will activate any detergent dry or otherwise and remove same with the down clean stroke.

Some presprays make it much more difficult to clean if allowed to dry. Most you can re-prespray and it's all good. Some will reactivate when hit with the hot water from just your wand.

The trick is always knowing how far ahead you can prespray.

i do different way, if my pre-spary dry or almost get dry, i pass with the wand / but not touching the surface / pressing the trigger and pass all area /where is dry/ to moister.
just making the carpet a little bit wet on touch and than start to work.
    Its very effective on upholstery
