I am looking at box trucks to soon get one and I'm not to sure about the traditional ones because they have a taller profile from the road. I was looking at this truck but I'm not to sold on the yellow. The rental trucks seem to be lower to the ground for easier access and the boxes are made of fiberglass instead of aluminum. I think the fiberglass would hold heat better in the winter while not in use. Another problem I may have is my logo has yellow in it too. I plan to add a 4 foot wide roll up door on the first picture behind the cab where I will install the TM on whatever truck I buy. What do you guys think.

That is a great idea. That is the same type of van I want for my next truck.

You could get a box wrap like rob and make it any background color you want. All depends on the price difference between repainting the box white or putting a complete wrap on it.

Check with your usual sign shop and see what they may suggest too.....

Personally, I prefer white but I think the yellow is fine as long as the old logo and adhesive is completely removed or covered. I'm looking forward to finding out how you like the box truck. I've been thinking of getting something similar.

My only problem about yellow is that when most people see a yellow carpet cleaning van or truck they automatically think SS.

I can't speak for the materials used but I can speak for the maintenance. I owned one of these back in the mid 90's that I bought from a college friend, he worked for Penske so I got a smokin' deal. They maintenance their trucks regularly and they are very thorough! I bought it with 105K on it and put another 150K on it with no problems what so ever.

    I need to call him...

Yellow = Servicemaster or SS, better change the color!
Lots of room in that baby, as long as you feel comfortable backing into tight driveways and turning around in crowded alleys and parking lots, then I say go for it!

I think this color has added value. During slow times you can line up in front of the airport and take families with a lot of luggage home. :)

    Tom,

I drove up last Friday and picked up one of those 12 ft.white box trucks. 25k miles. He wanted 14k and up for the sprinters and they had higher miles.

    Thanks,
    Jason
