What Polisher should I get? There are many to choose from. Do you have several so as to have a backup? What brand worked best for you? How was the manufacturer's customer service? Is there any Brand/ Manufacturer you would not recommend?

Not a big issue. Just buy one and it will last for years. I have the expensive one and it is the only one I ever tried. I think its called blue gem. It is an orbital. I also have a makita high speed buffer but I hardly use it. It will be used in the future to polish corners of natural stone.

3M / Meguiar's / Auto magic / They all have descent products, There are a lot of New Brands out there, But staying with these 3
    will work OK!!!
to choose from Compunds will be more hard, than choosing a Polish. / Becarfull with Compounds they are way more agressive
Always start with the less agressive!!!

You should look at a Griots Garage randon orbital. They are more powerful than a porter cable and meguiars, plus easier to work with than a flex. They also come with a lifetime warranty.
