I am having a hell of a time finding a hose or a way to connect the two. Right now I am using PVC it is just a temp fix. Seems as though it is a 2 1/2" connection. Only things I can find are over $100, which I find ridiculous. I would like to go with iron pipe to connect them, but cannot find 2 1/2" or even a convertor to 3" or 2". I suppose if I actually goto a plumbing supply house I could find what I need, but just don't have the time to make the drive since there are none close. Any other ideas that wont break the bank? THanks

Check out Amazon hose for that. They have the transfer tank hose you need. I would stay away from an iron hard line on the inlet side, as it may collect debris and corrosion over time and send built up debris through the blower causing it to hault momentarilly which would snap a coupler or burn a belt.

I got my hose from a marine shop. Later I found similar at a heavy truck service center.

PVC is actually what I use. My hose was old and needed to be replaced and I switched to pvc about 4 years ago. I am actually using 2.5 inch electrical conduit, it is a little more heavy duty than standard pvc and the elbows are long & round making for better airflow than a square 90 degree elbow. My blower has a 2.5 inch inlet & outlet so this works perfectly and is cheap. I put a metal 2.5 inch close nipple in the blower and from there I connect the pvc all the way to the tank. I did not glue any of the connections so If I need to remove the pipe for any reason it is easy, just push them together tight and the vacuum of the blower pulls them together even more. This has worked great for me and I noticed much better suction & airflow than I used to get through the hose.
