I use the work shirts from my previous employer as a mat to wipe my feet.

I know, they really are great mats. I looked into having some made for our company with our logo but they are very expensive. I looked to see if I could find blank ones but hard to find that texture in a picture online.

I did think it was stupid that SS went through the trouble to put their logo on it but didn't put their phone number just incase anybody want to call them again, the customer could find them!

    Great marketing potential

anyone know where you can have these made? I'm thinking small standard size door mats like mentioned on other threads. Roll up to door with one, unroll, hand over spotter, drop complimentary logo tagged mat, wipe feet & do it to it...

Would love to hear if anyone has them made already, where, & how much?

jeeze I thought a dollar presintation folder and a 2.99 bottle cost me enough, wonder how much a mat would cost to get made, 10-15 bucks?

I'm not sure, but I think SS sells these mats on their website. It's probably one of the upsell features when they are inside the home as well. And the fact that they are such a big company and well known, is the reason why they don't have to include a telephone number or website. Just my opinion

We used to sell a multitude of items from the truck, including mats. But when we really examined things we found we made very little money and worse distracted both the customer and the tech from the two things we made our most money on. So we dumped all our little "add-on" items and focused on selling ScotchGard and our regular Stay Beautiful Programs.

The results. Both my techs and I made a lot more money and we didn't risk coming across as a peddler high pressuring the customer.

NOTE: We still suggested walk-off mats. We just didn't sell them. For example: http://sfs.jondon.com/8033/resource...d-consultant-for-your-carpet-cleaning-clients

3M has a Nomad mat that some suppliers sell for the cleaner to sell/give to their clients.

If you order in some quantity Apache Mills in Calhoun, GA will sell you mats at wholesale. Whatever size, color and fiber you want.

I like Steve, offered these to our clients for a while, but never made a lot fo money from them. However, we did get them for a lot of our commercial accounts that needed them. Made the regular cleaning so much easier when they had proper walk off mats.

Thanks for the idea; I have several customers I have brought this up to; we will be ordering 100 mats with our company stamp on it; 15 are customes; but it seems like some easy extra money; again; not gonna put anyone out of business; but looks like I have some extra cash flow getting ready to start!!

I worked for a company that sold the 3M Dirtstop Mats for $45 each. No logo or anything.
