    Hello all,
My battery died for my Boxer 421 Truckmount yesterday.
Jumped it a couple of times got through that job. Went and
picked up a brand new battery and the next morning it went out and shut off while in the middle of my job. I then jump started it with my cables and lef the da__ cables onwhile the engine was runng therefore charging the truckmount battery while I clean for a 1/2 hour. I got through the job. Result the voltage regulator is drainng the battery low. Battery is curretnly on a charger that I just bought and am waiting to buy the voltage regulator tommorrow.
I have located the voltage regulator in the owner's manual.
doesn't look that hard to take out or install. tommorrow morning I'll go take a look where it is located on the truckmount and check it out. has anyone replaced a voltage regulator on a Boxer 421?
If so, Advise me with pro's and con's. I am mechanically competent.
    Thanks, Chuck

I would not replace the battery and just run a welding lead under the van from the boxer to the van battery assuming you have a van and not a trailer I know this doesn't fix the voltage regulator but them small lawn mower batteries are a pain. :AddEmoticons04233:

It may not be the voltage regulator. It could be the cahrging system where the flywhell is.

A voltage regulator main function is to prevent the battery from overcharging and to prevent the battery from dischrging when the engine is at rest. It is very likely that this can be your problem when your engine is running. You may have a short somewhere or your alternator could be bad.
