I can't stand the heat! I love having an exhaust fan in my rear window, NOT IN THE CIELING, so I don't loose clearance going into building garages or getting the eventual water leaks into the van. But the ford vans , unlike my Dodge vans don't come with the vented rear window, nor the space in the doors for storing spotting chemicals and blocks and whip hoses, knives, guns,...whatever.

Ever since I have had a truck mount, I have had an exhaust fan running in the rear window and the side window vent open; it's great for keeping the heat and odors in the back of the van. Then, when it's time for the A.C. to be turned on, since I have a divider separating the front and rear of the van, the A.C. is on high for 30 seconds then low for the rest of the ride, great power and great for gas milage

The body shop and glass man are having trouble finding a aftermarket set of hinges and say they are going to have to make custom hinges and cut custom glass.

WTF any input would be appreciated.

    Sincerely,

What year is your van? My '89 has them for sure and i would have to check to be sure but I think my '92 does as well, try checking some of the older Ford vans to see if you could fit the glass into the newer doors. They really haven't changed the body style since '92, just the front was redesigned slightly. Also I know my '89 which is a cargo came with fixed rear windows but I replaced the back doors due to rust and I got doors from a passenger van with the vent windows in them, so make sure the passenger vans don't have the vented glass.
