My vacuum is killing the engine.
It is a Power Clean Industries truck mount (Box Van Mount) running a LRG-425 2.5 Liter engine.
It has two vacuum hose inputs and if you restrict the air two much on either input the engine lugs out (shuts down)
The blower on this thing is big I believe it is classified as a #7. Not that that means much two me. I am new to all this so any help is much appreciated.

could be lack of fuel due to clogged filter or fuel pump going out. ( most TM demand more fuel while under a load or full vacuum ) im not a machanic but thats where id start IMO. I hope this helps

Thanks, I did not notice this section when I posted it. I looked for a way to move it but it magically moved by its self.

I do not know but this will be the first thing I look at. It has a Roots 711 URAI. It makes since that this would be the cause. I really need to take it in to a shop and have a real mechanic look through it. I need to find a mechanic closer than Pensacola FL, I am in Panama City Beach so if anyone knows of a good carpet cleaner mechanic with in 50 miles or so let me know. I'll be following this post but you can contact me at 850-541-2576

I adjusted the relief valves to where they wore both leaking turned the idle all the way up and same thing, it just dies when you restrict the air flow too much.
I am going to have to pay someone to take a look at it.
I am in over my head on this one.
I just wish there was someone local I could take it too.
I am sure most of it will come down to user education.
I will have them take a look at the heat exchanger to. I can not seem to get extremely hot water.

My does this every now and again. dont pull your hair our just yet. is it carbureted? or injected? carb mixture needs to be richer. injected it might be dirty injectors. Stop using cheap gas. from like arco.

run some fuel injector cleaner in your tank with high octain fuel.. I recommend LUCAS only. other crap cleaners will cause your intake valve seals to leak oil into the cylinder. = smoke and dead engine sooner.

I took it into the shop in Pensacola 100 miles away to a company called Basic Chemicals. He is not done yet but he seemed very knowledgeable. He walked me around the machine explaining how everything works and seemed to look to be out of order. He believes it is lugging out because of the size of the blower and not large enough relief valves. Stated it was the largest blower he had ever seen. He also identified several other things that are wrong with the machine. So far I am happy with the service so far. I will let everyone know what is actually causing the problem as soon as I know.

Ok Just had this happen with My TruckMount - Tried Everything to Fix it, worked out to be 4 Burnt Exhaust Valves, the engine was unable to generate enough compression to drive a sutiorbilt 6 blower, the engine is a 2.6 litre machine, the other thing we found wrong was the heat exchanger was so full of carbon that it was also creating too much back pressure for the engine to get rid of the exhaust gas.
Once we did this over haul of the head and adjusted the tappets the machine is running super strong now and it has NO PROBLEMS Running 25 Hg I have a Bruise on the palm of my hand to proove how strong the suction is.
This was what was happening to my machine and I can hear you when you say the blower is killing the engine, I have just had this problem and fixed it

Thankfully it was a simple fix. The tech added a larger fuel pump and adjusted the carburetor.
He also took care of some other issues with the electrical and the heat exchanger.
The vacuum is absolutely impressive and the heat ain't bad either.
I cleaned my office and filled it up with steam. It is a small office and it was cold.
I was doing to pressure washing for about 15 minutes in cold weather at 1500 psi and it stayed very hot.
I guess I can run a couple of wands at the same time with out a problem.
I will try to remember to take a couple of pics.
