The news today 'Fuel prices at a record high' and as a company we have no option other than to pass the increase in fuel prices onto the customer. But, when it comes to cleaning upholstery rather than use the t/m I use my Scorpion xps portable, takes a little bit longer but, is very cost effective .

Do you have to put hot water in it or does it have a heater? How do you dispose of the waste water?

    Hi EyeBall
Have in line heaters but, find with the solution used that the hot water from the customers tap is a ample. (If possible always clean HWE suites at 30%)

Furniture does not need as much power to still do a great job. Just a little slower but with gas prices it makes sense!

For real! I haven't used one in 4 years, and since then I know the technology has gotten much better. I wouldn't really know what to expect if I had to use a new one.

The results would be the same. There are some good portables with excellent cfm of lift, the problem is filling and emptying the porty which is why we all use t/m. Yes like you guys it was a pain in the bu** the first time but, in this economic climate the old saying is true 'look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves'.

I heard one company is making a portable truck mount now. Can't wait to see Keiths review on it!
