Do you guys thing it is safe to try ultrapac on wool. It's my main pre spray atm and the rug if pretty dirty and I would like to use it. But I am not sure if I should risk trying it out or not when I am not sure.

    Thanks!!

I don't know what the Ph of UltraPac is Jamie but always try and stay as close to a Neutral Ph as possible with wool.
But if you do use a higher Ph detergent do so with caution and ensure you rinse it out throughly and do NOT let it dwell too long on the fiber.
Using a high Ph detergent can cause irreversible damage.
A lot of cheap detergents have a strong deodorizer added to mask the ammonia it in. Ammonia will disolve wool so always buy a known brand specifically made for wool where possible.

ok. The Ultrapac is a prochem product and it is not really very cheap. I'm not really sure what the PH is of the pre spray. But I bet I can dilute it down enough so the ph is not much im sure. Next time I go to Jon Don maybe I will buy some Pre Spray specifically for wool. I appreciate your input!

If your buying from Prochem or Jon Don or any other Supplier they would carry Detergents that are safe for wool.

UltraPac will be fine as Long as you use All Fiber Deep Clean as your rinse/emulsifier. it actually kicks butt big time.

I was talking with a Chemistry teacher about lowering the PH, and he told me with adding more water won't make a significant difference in lowering the PH so becareful.
Use any safe wool product but in more concentration and make sure you rinse it out very well.
