Another exclusive and original idea from TMF to help new or existing companies raise their quality level. TMF and Dry-N-Clean are teaming up to help raise the bar in the carpet cleaning industry! Check it out below.:)

TMF "Ride Along" Mentor Program for Carpet Cleaning/Hard surface/Water Damage :

If you are considering entering the Cleaning business or you have already purchased your equipment but lack the skills to put your your equipment into a financially viable operation, then the "Ride Along" Mentor Starter Program is for you.
By undertaking this course, you will get a PERSONALIZED and intensive mentor training program. You will participate in a highly successful operational business. You will be subjected to real life situations with someone who has over 2 decades of experience with us, Robert Allen,Jr and his staff. We will be right there beside you helping you in all cleaning business skills including but not limited to, Carpet,Rug and Upholstery cleaning,Hard surface cleaning, Wood Floor and Water Restoration .
Plus you will spend time with a highly skilled Bookkeeper and receptionist, Sandee Allen. At this time you will have the opportunity to learn orginizational skills, book keeping for tax records and expense tracking. She, Sandee, will also teach you how to answer the phone properly and close more sales with her vast experience.

This is what the TMF "Ride Along" Mentor Program is all about! Instead of being in a classroom which is good for learning the basics, you will be in a vibrant real life situation out in the field as part of a team learning first hand how to clean Carpets, Rugs,Furniture, Tile,Wood Floors and Water Damage .

I will also show you how we repair truckmounts and modify them to get the best performance from your equipment.
All of this plus the intangables like how to make a customer for life and the proper use of chemicals for cleaning and spotting.

    Here's what you get;

    Day 1, 2 & 3

You will ride along in the truck learning how we clean, use proper chemistry and how to really UP-SELL. You will also see how we treat customers to make them "Lifetime" customers. Did I mention I did 1000.00 dollars a day for 100 straight days through the winter and spring this year in a sour economy with one truck? I'll show you how I did it!

Day 2 After spending the day on the truck you will learn how to hire good help and keep them motivated!

On day 3 “ you take over ” We put the book in your hands to deal directly with the customer. We will be right there to insure that all go’s well. In between jobs we will do a practical review on how you did and offer advice on how to improve your techniques.

    Day 4

You will spend time learning how we do accounting and book keeping. This is where it all starts. This is the first point of contact with your company. So here you learn to set appointments, turn shoppers into customers, turn calls into appointments and orginize your routes and times. Listen in live with someone who has over 20 years answering and setting appointments on the phone.
Also you will spend time with our computer web-site guru to give advice on how you can upgrade or design a web-site.

    Day 5

You will learn how to modify, repair just about any TM. I'll take the time to explain the proper use and mixture of cleaning chemicals to produce a Premium level of cleaning, sealing and refinishing. Also we will show you how to ORGINIZE your company using OUR company as a template. I promise you will find us one of the most orginized in the country!

    Day 5 evening

*We will have a "Round Table" dinner with the well known artist, Daniel Martinec who can advise you on designing a branding image throughout your whole company!!! Here you can ask any questions that have arisen too.

*On top of all this you will get entry into the TMF Secret Room. There you will be in our inner circle and you will stay on the cutting edge of the industry and learn industry secrets that they don't want you to know about. Along with this you get tons of marketing and sales resources. Also you can freely ask any Elite cleaner in the Secret Room for advice. Yes get ALL your company questions answered FAST with our Exclusive "911 on the Job" direct phone response service.

Now if that was not enough, you will get access to my personal cell number where you can call me anytime during waking hours to answer or give free advice for a year. With over 25 years in the cleaning business I have a lot to offer. If for some reason I am not available, Tre with TMF will take your call. You can't beat that.

So if you tried to duplicate this with the well known "Guru's" today it would cost in the thousands. That is if you can even get them to ride along with you in a van cleaning carpets. Plus can you get unlimited free advice for a year? Not to mention if you took all this in a classroom you would spends 1000.00's of dollars.

Don't get us wrong, classrooms have their place, but NOTHING beats real life hands on training! We'll show you how to project and maintain a "big" company image whether you have 1 or 10,000 customers in your database like us. So what are you waiting for, come on down, we'll treat you like family!

You get all of this for only *$995.00. The price of 4 or 5 carpet jobs!

So what are you waiting for? Come on down, we'll treat you like family!

    Robert Allen.

Long - I know, but worth reading if thinking of doing this!

I entered the Floor cleaning business in 2008. After hours being cut at the full time job I held for years, I found that it was no longer paying the bills. There where many options to choice in the manner of a small business and weighting them all out I choose Floor cleaning as my best New Career Choice.

Then the fun started. What I knew about doing the job was very little. I had had mine cleaned every 6mths but find that they all did a poor job. The Last one put dry chemicals down and used and big brush machine. I fiancée came home and noticed that it was all "still filthy". She then pours a small glass of water on the floor and then used a 1hp shop Vac to pick it up. This left a large lighter color on the floor. I do not argue with her about cleaning any more. That was a $75.00 lesson Knowing that I wanted to be better than the ones that had been at my house, I set out to learn all I could. Here is where I am going to make this short.

After reading many articles and posting, asking about equipment and problems they have and trying to understand the chemicals I knew I needed one-on-one training. I felt I could get a job doing it for someone else. There was no way I was going to mislead someone like that, nor did I wish to take the long road.

I found TMF Mentor Kick Start Program. This was in August 2008. The program had what I was looking for. The expense was reasonable and it covered all the areas that I needed to really hit the ground running. I spent the week of Aug 11th in Virginia Beach. It was a lot of work. There was so much to learn. The chemicals where my toughest part to learn, too many different names and no clear comparisons. We did small jobs, very large jobs and commercial jobs. The training has taken away much of the uneasiness of stepping into a home to do a job by myself. After haven had the “Ball” put in my hands at the training, I learned just what it takes to “be the one in charge”. I learn a lot about the Chemicals that week, how to advertise, up-sell, change calls to sells, and set up the many aspects of a small business office. The one part that stands out was the one on one and the continued support over the phone.

Rob Allen has been there after the program just as he was when I was there at the training. There have been many questions!! A lot of these where on equipment, chemical brands, logos, vans, setup of equipment and the list goes on. I have chosen to get the Nemesis, by Duane Oxley at Accelerated Chemical Technologies, LLC. Rob has been a big help in many of the decisions made and I feel more confident on each one that has been made because of this avenue of advice and experience.

All in all I would say that the class is very well worth the effort and expense. I have taken away for more that I felt I would get. There was a lot to learn, but it is the one on one that made it all stick in my head. Easy to ask questions when you are the only one in the class!!

Would I change anything? Yes, I would have Rob or one of his crew stay and work with me in Charleston, SC for a week! Now that would be great!

Ps. I jumped on this before ir had the "Spiffy" name!! It was offer to another and I just invited myself!

Why was this Mentor Program not available in Australia when i was starting out. Congratulations Joseph on choosing such a professional entry into the cleaning industry. With that Program and the ongoing support from Rob and the Truck Mount Forum there is no limit to what you can now achieve.

    Well Done

    Thanks

I pick up my Nemesis 2545 from Duane Oxley on the 26 of Sep. Then it is to hit the ground running.

There is no mistaking that the program has helped me make more informed decision. I must also give lots of credit to Duane - I have had (and still do) so many questions and then I do not always understand the answer!!!!!!! Duane has been a big help as well.

I am posting the "Development of a Truck Mount" here on TMF. Look for the post. All input is Appreciated.

We and others have had mentering programs for years, Main difference was they didn't cost the guy nothing. During the past 28 years we have done a few to cleaners in our area also. Our Local trade org CCINW has also done this for years at no charge with its members.

It takes a lot for a guy to give up a day of his work to work for free with another cleaning company who is gaining his labor for free. Yes he is a bit slower, but, a O-O student willing and wanting to learn is so much better than one being sent by an employer to learn how to do new and different things. I have had the privilage to train both kinds.

Mr. Slide... Just curious, as to what specifically you find in this offer that has never been done before?
Not that this is a bad idea, but what is it that makes it so appealing to you...and, are you signed up yet?

So basically your saying you are to busy to give an intelligent answer?

I do feel a Mentoring program has merit, I am just missing what makes this one so much better than any other ever offered...(Mr. Slide how many Mentoring programs have you participated or been involved in?) I read very carefully every post here and do not see how mentoring like this is so "revolutionary".
The transparent part must be what you see that I do not, hence my question (DUH).
Sorry if you are too busy to formulate your "feelings" into a cognitive answer that is direct and to the point and not vague and pointing to other answers that allude to the differences.
It seems if you cannot give a definitive and direct answer you are at best blowing smoke IMHO.
