The solution tank on my El D ran dry the other day cleaning a golf course clubhouse and my associates tell me the seals are potentially starting to go. I am ordering new seals today but has anyone taken them out and put new ones in? Is this a difficult job?

    Anthony

P.S. Just came back in from a week snowmobiling vaca to Togwottee Mt. Lodge which is near Jackson Hole, WY. They had received four feet of fresh powder within the last week. One hell of a vacation. I love my job!!

Just a matter of taking it apart and putting it back together, it depends on how good you are with working on mechanical issues. What kind of pump is it?

The seals shouldn't go bad after running the pump dry for so short a time. I would call Masterblend to see what they say. Warranty? If you do have to replace seals is it pretty easy the pump can stay on the TM then take off the outer screws to access where the seals go

    Super simple job.
Took me fifteen minutes, start to finish.
It's as simple as Roboshark says.

Thanks guys! I am not mechanically inclinded at all but if it is super easy then I just may attempt it vs calling in my mechanical engineer that I have on a consultation basis. The pump is a Cat3CP

MB told me the same thing that the seals shouldn't go back if the solution ran dry for a few minutes. Now, if it were a few hours damage can and probably will occur. Lets hope for the best. Where is the best and most resonably priced Cat3CP pumps seal kits that I can buy? They aren't cheap I know that.

Now we have another problem. The PSI gauge is stuck on 1300 psi when then van just starts up and the pressure should be at 0 psi. I think a combination of a very small air leak in a line and the guage freezing may have caused this as there is a 30mph west wind and my associates had the door wide open and the wind hit the tmount straight on while they were cleaning. It is also 15 degrees outside too. Ideas?

guage is frozen, simple to replace as are the seals in the pump. I had mine leak on my old unit for quite a while before replacing, they will drip at first. Just call Monte to get a seal kit if you need it.
