    I have Bob Savage's Savage1. I had a 94 butler.

On the savage I have a green horn wand with a glide. I do not understand why but, I feel that I am getting better dry times with the savage. I also tested the savage next to the butler and this is what I found. 100 foot hose run the butler blows a way the savage.

BUT 100 foot hose run with the savage booster the savage blew away butler.
200 foot hose run with the booster 100 feet away from the wand the savage held up nice against the butler. In terms of cleaning their is no difference, the carpets looked the same.

I think Savage builds a great product. Could the cfm make the difference? I believe that what you're seeing. And no maintenance with the Savage electric. Way to go, Bob E.
