Well we used the Rug Badger pre and post cleaning. I bet most know you can Rug Badger before cleaning but don't forget post cleaning too. I found that removing a lot of oily soil can help release any soil deposits left when you post Badger. Here is a pic I took of what I got out. Thick nasty stuff!
I would NEVER dump what came out of a rug back on a Rug just to take a picture. Would you want a plumber to put what he found in your blocked toilet on your bathroom floor? If need be we always put Grit in a double Baggie, like when a client says "It's not that dirty!"
Well I'm sure it's back on the rug because he knows it will come back up! lol. But seriously, not quite understanding how the badger works or having a general idea as to what it is supposed to do. I was wondering why it looks like it actually took the color out of the rug. I'm comparing the background reds, to the foreground white areas that look like they use to be red. Is that this tools purpose? I'll have to do some more reading on this thing. Allen The Butler Did It...Cleaning Services, LLC
Ok, did my reading and really understand what it does and how it works. Pretty cool tool! But I still don't understand why the color came out of the rug - I understand that those may be 'loose' fibers that were shaken/beaten out, but then what? Re-dye?
In our plant we use a standard vacuum - but you would be AMAZED at how much soil comes out of rugs before you clean them, which is why rugs should not be surface cleaned in the home, because you mix that GUNK with moisture, and you create MUD in the foundation. In the home you are afraid to get the floor underneath wet, or to get the rug too wet, so you don't flush the rugs and rinse them as much as you would installed carpeting (which you should be vacuuming 1st also, by the way... but we all know that...) I asked my rug plant to fill up a 5 gallon pail of REAL dirt for me for our real dirt testing coming up at the Piranha show, and they were able to fill that bucket up in just one day. I thought they'd need a week at least... but that's how much grime comes out of the rugs from dusting. Great photo Rob, Lisa
Thanks Lisa. And that is the back of the carpet I put it for a "one" time demonstration photo to show customers. I feel it has more of an impact seeing it directly on an oriental. ;-)
Rob, I agree with you. The big pile of dirt on top of the rug illustrates where it came from and the colors of the rug grab the eye. Good marketing! Added: I showed your pic to a non-cleaner and she said it looked like color fading too. Maybe retake the pic on the clean, bright side of the rug.
Maybe it's Rob's rug. Maybe they bought it cheap or found it in a dumpster. I think it's a great graphic, and if those are Rob's shoes I think those are great too lol
