Every so often the news will cover a story of someone who has maybe 30 cats in their house. Has anyone ever worked on a Restoration with pet waste literally end to end on the floor/ carpet?
Treat it as a Cat3 if it's that bad. Tear out, clean the subfloor/joists/concrete slab, seal it, then reinstall floor. PITA
Have encountered this situation several times. Often the old ladies with 30 cats can not afford to pay for the service needed. Often we did what we could. One job had a kitchen fire. We found over 20 dead cats in the home and the lady told us she saved most of the cats. A large group of neighbors came while we were working with a petition to have the home bull-dozed. They were really upset that we were cleaning it up before they could get the humane society, sheriff, TV crew and so forth to look at the condition of the home. In that situation cats had done plenty of damage but insurance was covering the cost of repairs due to fire and smoke.
