Can someone explain how the free flow thing works pictures, detailed explination etc..., if its better than a kunkle valve (somewhat familiar with the kunkle last one i bought was several years ago and it was like 200 bucks then are they still about that price or have they went up) or if im better off just leaving my peaks factory vac relief on it. Im wanting to increase air flow but really dont wanna do 2.5 hose or the four to the door thing. Ive read some post about it and i think i have an idea of how it works but just wanna be for sure on the mechanics of how its working. Thanks

Heat issue in my previous post has gotten a little better with the installation of 195 degree thermostat im up to about 200 to 210 degrees consistant.... spikes at 240+ for about 10 or 15 second bursts when i let off the trigger for 10 or 15 seconds (i love it when it does that lol) thanks for all your suggestions guys!

That pretty well sums it up thanks rob! Do you have any numbers as far as increase in cfm or is it more for just a consistancy in vacuum? Is it more efficiant or better than a kunkle valve?

I dont understand how bleeding vacuum at the tank will increase vacuum atw? I could see using it simply as a micro adjustment to help avoid the kunkle poping open in efforts to "smooth out" the vacuum surges.

it is not going to be more effecient than a kunkle valve if your kunkle valve is set right. a free flow creates a vacuum leak at all times, a kunkle valve creates an air leak only when your vacuum reaches a certain preset lift. certain carpets allow more airflow than others (not to mention upholstery or dual wands) so a kunkle will adjust according, a freeflow only has one setting (unless you want to manually adjust it each time). i have used a similar setup as an emergency when my kunkle was sticking while i waited for a new part and i was constantly adjusting it to get optimal lift for different cleaning conditions. jmho and i am sure others will have theirs.;) --Kevin--
