Two years after the purchase of my Genesis XT, I bought a second unit to replace my retiring liquid ring based, Aussie made Merzo.

I decided to go a low to middle range machine and ended up with a Legend by circumstances beyond my control whereby I bought a brand new machine for $1800 compared to the list price of just shy of $30000.

My initial feeling after using it was of disappointment at it's (lack of) performance, but I guess that is only natural when I had been using a Genesis for the previous 2 years.

I spoke extensively with Greenie and ended up retro fitting a 2.5" flowing elbow on the tank lid and running 2 lengths of 2.5 into a 2" 'whip hose' to my upgraded Greenhorn wand with a holed GG and 7.5 flow.

With those improvements, this is a totally different beast.

The down side to that is the machine is breathing heaps easier and as such, combined with the higher flow, I've lost my heat.

Overall, after my improvements, I'd say a 6 out of 10. Keep in mind, I'm also comparing a much bigger machine beside it to overshadow this one.

Again, I shedule all my own maintainence. I did my own install etc.

Sorry, should have been $18,000. I got it at a CAD auction where it passed in and was negotiated at 'cost price'. I almost believe them too.

Sorry to get you all excited like that...

They do last a long time, I'll give them that, but overall I wouldn't want one for more than $18,000.
