So, we're finally moved into the new shop and getting busy in production. The Kero version of the Predator Unleashed! is underway at the moment. Below are "baby pictures": This first one shows what I think is one of the most important features of this system- easy access to the burner. The heater coil isn't installed on this system yet. But the hinge plate for the coil is. This allows the owner to simply "fold the heater over", for access to the burner and coils. ) There's one wing nut on the far side from the hinge to remove, in order to allow this.) And this shows a left profile view of the system. Two things to note: 1.) This one's belt- driven. (Custom order per customer) It will have an idler pulley in order to adjust belt tension between the two 7" pulleys. 2.) The exhaust is turned "backward". This is an idea that I'm suggesting to the customer. It will allow the exhaust to exit under the van, behind the system, where a propane tank would be if this was a propane system. (This will make the system even quieter than it already is and keep exhaust from coming out the side door of the van. If you look under the system, in the center, you can see that the burner assembly is also very accessible from there as well. Current heat is 250,000 BTU's, but the system can deliver 400,000, for truly superior heat through two wands, even at high flow. This system will be complete by the end of next week. There is no voltage inverter used. Instead, the system runs on 12 volts and a Chevrolet alternator is built into the system.
